Production

In early September 2021, Syrah was handpicked from Grist Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley AVA, Sonoma County then 50% was foot tread with 50% whole cluster remaining cold soaked. In mid-September 2021, the wild red hybrid grapes were handpicked from the New Castle vineyard and co-fermented with the field blend of teinturier hybrid grapes from Davis vineyard in Davis, CA. After 50% whole cluster fermentation took off, the wine was pressed and barreled down into neutral French oak barrels where it slumbered until March 2022. She was racked and bottled in July 2022. No sulfur added. Unfined. Unfiltered.
